More Than Belief
Why following Jesus means living out what He said, not just agreeing with it.
Jesus said, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”1
There’s no question that we’re saved by grace alone.2 But Jesus always called His followers to action. The Christian life isn’t meant to be one that’s spent only obtaining more and more knowledge about God. We’re called to do more than ponder on Jesus’ teachings and talk about what He meant in small groups. Of course, knowledge of God is essential, but it isn’t everything. Jesus meant the things He said. He actually wants us to do this stuff.
So, while our salvation isn’t reliant upon the things we do, the fulfillment of the promises that Jesus said we would experience in our lives is. We won’t know the fullness of his promises unless surrender everything to Him.
Do you believe Jesus is the Son of God? Even the demons believe that.3 What are you actually doing that Christ has called you to do?

Yep yep!
